Above top left is Air france If you scroll down, Delta code-share and you can buy any ticket with them. If you fly Delta you pay in dollars. Air france UK services are from London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Southampton. NEW! Air France tell us they have started five new services from London City: Belfast, Madrid, Geneva, Zurich and Nice. This makes seven when you add their services to Dublin and Paris CDG. And now they have started services from Bristol to Paris CDG. NEWER Still! And now, two more new services from London City: Edinburgh and Dundee. And even more coming online for 2008.

KLM, also above, have merged with Air Fance and just before Christmas, KLM took over the Antwerp-based airline VLM. KLM do not service Groningen Eelde airport.

The Delta Airlines search above will take a moment to load. We used to know all of their destinations but as they code-share with Air France and Air France have now merged with KLM, who in turn code-share with Northwest Airlines, we no longer know how many destinations they have. They even turn up in Tel Aviv. Just do as they suggest, type in your city and see what they have to offer. Their website, we might add, is the best of the airline websites on the net. They have spent a huge amount of money on it. NB: They have slashed prices on domestic American services in order to compete with US no-thrills outfits.

Since the Sixties, we have watched airlines come and go. Since 9/11 the changes have been dramatic. Some have been swallowed up; some have merged; some have gone to the great tarmac strip in the sky. Keeping up with developments is a never-ending task. If this website is useful to you, add it to your favourites please. For seven years we have tried to keep up to date. That is our only concern: that the information we have, is corrected as soon as developments occur. Many thanks.

At the annual International Air Transport Association and World Air Transport Summit, the world's airlines agreed to implement full electronic ticketing by 2007. This will save them 3 billion dollars per anum. They are being forced into this by rising fuel prices. Shortly, an e-ticket won't be an option, it will be compulsory. We have to get used to buying on line whether we like it or not. The day will come, no doubt, when we even have to pay the ------- window cleaner on line. If you are still nervous about using your credit card on line, contact your bank and find out your position regarding your safety.

TIP: Each airport has been designated a three-letter IATA code. You will save time by using the ones you are able to memorise. For example, Los Angeles to Johannesburg takes longer to type in than LAX to JNB. Sometimes, you will need to take a decision. There is an Aberdeen in Scotland ABZ and another one in The Dakotas ABR. This applies to many airports and the searches will prompt you to choose. America has 500 airports offering scheduled services but another 2,500 public landing sites. Some searches throw them all up. Some searches don't recognise Ithaca but some do. Some insist you type in the code or Westchester County. The code, if you know it, is the stressfree solution.
